1. Start with 30 lives on Normal Difficulty

   Enter at the title screen on the second controller:

   All methods must be fulfilled at Normal Difficulty.

2. Increase number of standard lives per credit

   By playing and saving your progress, you will notice that the game saves your play time, and the more you play, the better the rewards.

   Unlockable	How to Unlock
   4 lives per credit (+1 more than standard)	Play for more than 5:30 hours
   5 lives per credit (+2 more than standard)	Play for more than 13 hours
   6 lives per credit (+3 mote than standard)	Play for more than 20 hours

3. Unlock The Endings

   To get the endings you need to play the game in Normal mode, and either get a low rank to end the game prematurely on Stage 5 or 6, or get a high rank to move to the next stage. Unlike what most information online says, there is no additional or alternative ending for beating the last mission with an "S Rank". You do get an extra congratulatory message in the ending for doing so, and you unlock a joke FMV in the theater menu.

   Ending (Easy)	Finish Stage 5 on Easy Mode.
   Ending 1 (Normal)	Finish Stage 5 with a B or C Total Rank.
   Ending 2 (Normal)	Finish Stage 6 with a B or C Total Rank.
   Ending 3 (Normal)	Finish Stage 7 (if you finish with an "S Rank", you'll get an additional congratulatory message).

Secrets

1. Theater Option

   Successfully complete the game under the normal difficulty setting. Your rank will determine how much of the theater is unlocked.
   
   Satellite Weapon: Complete level 5 with a ''B'' or ''C'' rank.
   Return: Complete level 7 up to the credits with an ''A'' rank.
   Triumphant Return: Complete level 7 including after the credits with an ''A'' rank.
   Contra vs. Puppy: Complete the game with an ''S'' rank.
