Codes

1. Erase saved games

   At the save game selection screen, select the save you wish to delete and press Start+Select on Controller 2. You will be given a Yes/No confirmation box before the save is deleted.

Factory Passcodes

There are two points in the Factory in 2300 AD in which you must enter a passcode to proceed. The first point requires you to enter codes to control a crane, and the second requires you to enter the master password for the entire factory. The following lists those three such passcodes. Remember to press the buttons in order, not all at the same time.

Save Lucca's Mother

In the event where Lucca's mother gets caught in the machine, walk to the lower rightmost accessible portion of the machine, press A, and you will be prompted to enter a code to stop it.

Glitches

1. Infinite Shelters

   When you exit Guardia Forest in the beginning of the game there is a bush near the exit that will move, when you try to communicate with it a strange creature should run out dropping a free shelter, after this leave the forest twords the castle but dont progress further, instead go back into the forest to where the bush was, you will be able to interact with it again thusly giving you another free shelter. There are a few enemies about but by going around tho where th enemies come out you should be able to avoid them. By using this cheat you can use the shelters to recover many times or sell them for 75 gold each.

1. Receive the Hunting Range Nu Items without a Fight (65,000,000 B.C.)

   Go to the Hunting Range area and when it rains, the Nu will appear in one of its few possible spots. If you approach the Nu after the rain has stopped and press A as it is leaving, the Nu will make a screaming noise and continue to leave the screen. As it escapes into the jungle, it will initiate the dialogue, "You strong! Here! Take!" as if you had battled and defeated it, and then proceed to give you 3 each of Petals, Fangs, Horns, and Feathers. If it is your first encounter with the Nu, you will receive the Third Eye as well.

2. Save anywhere

   In Giants Claw or Tyrono Fortress there are a few switches. One activates a save point, one starts a battle, and one makes part of the floor disappear. Activate the save point, then make the floor disappear. Go to the top of the left hole, jump off and press A just as you go onto it. Save and continue. If done correctly, you should be able to save anywhere! Note: This affect will wear off if you turn the system off.

3. Use items on enemies

   It is normally impossible to use items on enemies, but here is a glitch that lets you do so. Equip the Green Dream accessory on one character before the battle. Have that character die in battle with a nearly full ATB bar, with no status effects cast on the character, when the other party members are also dead. The character will be revived by the Green Dream. If you are lucky and you go to the item menu quickly, you can select an item and use it on an enemy, because the game thinks all of your party members are dead. This can be used to kill the two final forms of Lavos with Elixirs, because Elixirs roll their health above the maximum allowed amount.

   There are 13 Endings possible in this game, depending on when you choose to fight Lavos.

Secrets

1. Free Gold at the Beginning of the Game

   At the beginning of the game, exit Crono's house then walk on the map to the west then go south on to Zenan Bridge. Cross the bridge and keep going south until you reach the village of Porre. While there go find the Elder's house, enter it and talk to the NPCs there, they'll tell you about the man of the house and that he love his money more than his wife and kids. Take this chance as an advantage. Then go talk to the man himself, he'll tell you he had more money than ever that he don't know what to spend it on, then he'll ask if you could spin and act like a rooster he'll give you 10 gold. Accept his request, watch the act perform, and he'll give you the 10 gold. Then exit his house and re-enter and repeat process. You can do this for as long as you want to keep earning gold without ever getting into battle.

Get 10 Mid Ethers at Lab 32

After getting the Race Log to track your best scores in the bike race, race Johnny and attain a score of 777. Rx-xR will reward you with 10 Mid Ethers.

New Game+

Successfully complete the Black Omen dungeon and then beat the game to unlock new game+ it lets you play the game again with the levels from your previous games all items you had. you can go straight to lavos or beat the game again.

Rename Your Characters and Time Machine

After you down the Blackbird and got your time machine back as well as either defeat Magus for the second time or recruit him, return back to the Prehistoric era (65,000,000 BC) and go to the Laruba Ruin then talk to the Nu there. He will allow you to rename the lead character of your party, to rename the other member just had them in the lead. To rename your time machine, go to the Keeper's Dome in 2300 AD and access the computer there.
